Goodman's Opening Night Gathers a Fashionable Crowd at Bergdorf Goodman

Smart retail stores are upping their gastro game and Bergdorf is (unsurprisingly) among the smartest, with considerable evidence recently on display. The Art Deco-inspired restaurant and bar evokes a chic Parisian brasserie, complete with lush de Gournay walls. The all-star team behind the bar includes Austin Johnson, the Michelin starred Chef, and Dustin Wilson, a Master Sommelier who was previously the wine director at Eleven Madison Park. BG’s Men’s Fashion Director, Bruce Pask, threw down the gauntlet with this party, putting Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue on notice that their impressive slate of restaurants still have competition from the grande dame of shopping.
