“Shit’s still magical. There are still amazing parties. You guys are here tonight and we’re going to have an incredible night!” – Mark Ronson

The night starts with the opening of Art (a comedy about the purchase of a piece of modern art that sends a group of friends into a tailspin) on Broadway. Anna Wintour, Victor Garber and Nathan Lane are in the audience to see Neil Patrick Harris, James Corden and Bobby Cannavale in the play (which is hilarious).
Next up: the book party for music maestro Mark Ronson’s memoir “NIGHT PEOPLE How to Be a DJ in ’90s New York City” at ARTSPACE in the basement of the Public Hotel. Brendan Fallis, Dao-Yi Chow, Carol Radziwill, Daniel Goldstein, D-Nice and Sam Sneed sip cocktails by the bar. The legendary New York DJ Belinda Becker spins hit after hit (Michael Jackson “Remember the Time,” TLC “No Scrubs”) and the dance floor is packed.

Moments before midnight, Ronson takes the stage. “I wrote this book because I wanted to celebrate this magic era when I came up deejaying in this city,” he says Ronson, adding: “You know what, Shit’s still magical. There are still amazing parties. You guys are here tonight and we’re going to have an incredible night!” Ronson’s mother, socialite and designer Ann Dexter-Jones beams with pride. The final DJ of the night is the insanely popular Stretch Armstrong. The pop star Dua Lipa throws her arms in the air and dances up a storm. – ALEXANDER HANKIN
