Matt Brown, the great-grandson of Henry Collins Brown, the Scottish immigrant and self-taught historian who founded the Museum of the City of New York in 1923, gathers a gilded group to the museum at 1220 Fifth Avenue. Matt’s always stylish wife Marisa is here as is his handsome financier brother Chris Brown. Matt thanks guests and toasts to the mission of the museum to celebrate and interpret the city’s history, art, popular culture, and civic life, highlighting New York’s influence worldwide. Also here: Alex and Patricia Farman-Farmaian, Judah and Toby Milstein Schulman, Frederic and Shirin Fekkai and MCNY president Stephanie Hill Wilchfort who are led by a curator through the must-see-now exhibit New York at Its Core and Above Ground: Art from the Martin Wong Graffiti Collection.
