“Bailey Jane – in a sheer Mirror Palais dress that leaves little to the imagination and everything to the expectation – is hosting an after-party.”

Over 700 black tie guests fill the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the Apollo Circle benefit. The theme: “Into the Darkroom: Shadows, Shapes & Fantasies” – a nod to the current exhibition Man Ray: When Objects Dream.
Polina Proskina, Olga Sorokina, Eddy Hersaut and Caroline Vazzana lean into the surrealist vibe of the evening. Annie Taylor and I wear gilded eye brooches by Elsa Schiaparelli who was a friend of Man Ray.

“I have a deep admiration for the Apollo Circle for representing the next generation of cultural leaders and philanthropists,” says the Met’s deputy director Whitney Donhauser. “Their commitment, vision and enthusiasm are shaping the future of The Met and ensuring that the Museum’s mission continues to resonate with new and diverse audiences.”
Moving through an Ancient Egypt exhibit, we reach the Temple of Dendur, which was completed in 10 B.C. Tonight Dendur dazzles with flashing, swirling lights of color and DJ Zoe Gitter who starts spinning dance music.

Post-Met, Daniel Goldstein and I hit Casa Tua. Bailey Jane – in a sheer Mirror Palais dress that leaves little to the imagination and everything to the expectation – is hosting an after-party. “My friends spent a good amount to attend the Apollo Circle Benefit,” Jane tells me. “I figured I’d return the favor with a two-for-one at the afters.” – ALEXANDER HANKIN
