Last night, Clive Davis and Greg Schriefer hosted an opening reception for The Pharaoh and the Celtic Gods, a new solo show at G23NY by South American artist Fernanda Lavera.
On Thursday, the White House Historical Association celebrated its 60th anniversary with its annual in honor of Jacqueline Kennedy. Al Roker was the evening’s emcee. The night also included remarks by First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, Caroline Kennedy and David Rubenstein, as well as performances by 22nd Grey Coat Battalion Fife and Drum Corps, opera singer Brandie Sutton (accompanied by Ramón Braxton), pianist Laura Ward, and the NYU Steinhardt Orchestra.
On Wednesday, The Art Show (an art fair organized by the Art Dealers Association of America) held a benefit preview for its week-long show. The night was in support of Henry Street Settlement.
Also on Wednesday, PEN America held an In Conversation event with Emily Ratajkowski at Tory Burch’s boutique. Ratajkowski recently penned the essay collection My Body.
On Tuesday, the Accessories Council held its 25th annual ACE Awards at Cipriani 42nd Street. Iris Apfel was given the Super Hero award. Other honorees included Wes Gordon for Carolina Herrera, Christian Siriano, LaQuan Smith, Crocs, Stephanie Roberson of Shopbop, Caleres/Allen Edmonds, Qurate Retail Group, and Karyn Schoenbart, CEO of The NPD Group.
