Self-taught Los Angeles-based artist Donna Isham is the most-buzzed about name this weekend at the Hamptons Fine Art Fair (HFAF) at the Southampton Fairgrounds through Sunday, July 14th.
Isham, who is married to multi-award winning musician Mark Isham (can you say power couple?) is known to work in multiple mediums from oil, acrylic, charcoal, pastels, pencil, ink and pen and push boundaries to create compelling figurative paintings that are both expressionistic and abstract. Isham explores the strength of womanhood in her sensual, painterly pieces, exploring themes like transformation, beauty and the ephemeral.
Isham’s work at HFAF was specifically designed for the Hamptons show. She also has pieces installed this summer at Surf Lodge in Montauk and is preparing for a solo show in London this September. – PETER DAVIS
