For the second year in a row, the East End’s biggest social event is giving guests the option to party at home.
Stony Brook Southampton Hospital’s annual summer party, now in its 63rd year, is organizing a hybrid gala this year, with both in-person and at-home offerings.
Like last year, guests will be able to purchase a table and receive a curated party box from catering company Elegant Affairs to entertain up to 10 people. The food provided includes a three-course meal, and wines from Wölffer Estate.
Donors who purchase higher-tier tables will be treated to a customized dinner party with help from chefs, waiters, and bartenders. All tables across the donation tiers will be united with a virtual toast over Zoom.
The at-home gala will take place August 7, but donors who purchase tables at higher price points will also receive two tickets to the Patron Party — an in-person event at the Wölffer Estate on July 24, hosted by Liev Schrieber and SBSH chief administrative officer, Robert Chaloner.

“The summer party is our most important fundraising event of the year,” says Chaloner. “It is also a wonderful opportunity to come together and enjoy some well-deserved fun, while making a positive impact in the community.”
Proceeds from the event supports the Jenny & John Paulson Emergency Department, the first on the East End to be verified as a Level III Trauma Center as verified by the American College of Surgeons, and is open every day of the year.
Tables start at $7,500. Check out the SBSH website for more information. Guests unable to attend but still interested in supporting the cause can also make a donation online, here.
Avenue is once again proud to support the event as a media sponsor. Cin-cin!
