This Week in Events: Fashion Week Officially Kicks Off

On Thursday, Lingua Franca held a grand opening party for its townhouse on Jane St.

Meanwhile, Mytheresa held a cocktail party in honor of New York Fashion Week at Temple Bar.

Elsewhere, Gagosian, Victoria Miro, Tanya Bonakdar, and Phaidon co-hosted a party at Saint Theo’s to honor the release of artist Sarah Sze’s new book, Sarah Sze: Paintings.

Also on Thursday, couturiers Viktor & Rolf held a dinner at Studio 525 in honor of Emily Ratajkowski, who is the new face of their fragrance, Flowerbomb.

On Wednesday afternoon, The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering held its annual Winter Lunch at the Rainbow Room.

Later that night, Saks and Emma Roberts held a party at Jazz Club at The Aman to celebrate New York Fashion Week. The night featured performances by Charli XCX and Big Freedia.

Meanwhile, Frédéric Malle celebrated the opening of his new Editions de Parfums shop at Bergdorf Goodman.

Elsewhere, RxART held its annual party at Nine Orchard. This year the event honored Nina Chanel Abney & Derrick Adams.

Igee Okafor and The Macallan fêted Manolo Blahnik’s spring menswear collection at its Madison Avenue boutique.

Also on Wednesday, La Ligne launched its denim collection at Fouquet’s.

On Saturday, the second annual Fifteen Percent Pledge gala was held at The New York Public Library.
