This Week in Events: Fashion Week Kicks Off

On Thursday, Dior celebrated it’s collaboration with Jean-Michel Othoniel at Brooklyn Botanic Garden, where Othoniel’s work is also currently installed.

Meanwhile, Pamella Roland fêted her new book, Dressing for the Spotlight, at The Times Square Edition.

Elsewhere, Bergdorf Goodman held a party in honor of Harris Reed and Nina Ricci at BG Restaurant.

Wednesday was particularly busy. Starting in the afternoon, the Museum at FIT held its 2023 Couture Council luncheon at the David Koch Theater. This year the event honored Gabriela Hearst.

Later that day, the CFDA held a “designer announcement” event at Genesis House.

Meanwhile, The Business of Fashion and Google held a New York Fashion Week dinner at The Hotel Chelsea.

In the art world, Hannah Traore Gallery held an opening party for “Quil Lemons: Quiladelphia.”

On Tuesday, Igee Okafor and Zachary Weiss co-hosted a party for Manolo Blahnik and The Macallan. The night began at the Manolo Blahnik boutique, and continued with dinner at The Standard Grill.

Meanwhile, Harlem’s Fashion Row 16th annual Fashion Show & Style Awards took place at the Apollo Theater.

On the 2023 Hampton Classic Grand Prix Horse Show was held in Bridgehampton.
