For the 2022 holiday season, Avenue insiders share their picks for what their planning to give (and receive). Click here to find more of curated gift guides from our favorite personalities.

The holiday season means crafternoons of all things for Palm Beach scenester and marketing consultant Michael Reinert. “I always hand-sketch my Christmas and holiday cards,” he says of his tradition of adding a personal touch to gifts. “My years of art and fashion design school need an outlet for something.”

His other holiday traditions include grabbing caviar eggs with Farley Rentschler at Cafe L’Europe, and spending Christmas Eve at the home of Bobby and Ivey Leidy. “Ivey always makes sure no one is alone, without caviar or tequila,” explains Reinert. “And that makes her the true gift of Christmas.”

Below, Reinert gives his gift recommendations for the season.

Orlebar Brown “Bulldog” swim shorts. $375;

Hermès “Not Sleepy” travel mask. $800;

“Those flimsy things Delta gives out are unappealing and uncomfortable,” jokes Reinert. “Why not splurge and make up for your athleisure flight attire with an Hermès eye mask?”

Fiasconaro x Dolce & Gabbana panettone. $109;

A donation to the Society of the Four Arts. Any amount;

Assouline Yachts: The Impossible Collection. $895;

“Assouline books,” recommends Reinert. “Since everyone is on Instagram these days, picture books seem like a safe bet. I recommend Yachts: The Impossible Collection, because who doesn’t love yachts?”
